The Premise This is an idea I have. I'm a HUGE fan of Little Shop Of Horrors (The musical and both movies, another on the way), and so I want to try to make my OWN version...in comic form. People can apply for cameos and for minor parts, like Arthur Denton (Or Wilbur Force, depending on which movie you saw), the First Customer, and Wink Wilkinson. Co-Authors can share ideas on the project as well. Fly or Fail?

Never saw the movies or play, so I'm neutral on this.

its a very stupid idea and is a fail, AND that's coming from a fan too.

@kwane: What's wrong with it?

Fail for this particular idea.

Reason being that doing it in comic form is all fine and dandy but its just another rendition of the same thing (albeit with different characters thrown into the mix).

I'll admit that I do kind of like the idea, maybe instead do a different sort of story. Perhaps another plant of the same has appeared in another shop in a different town where there are different scenarios. People can still admit for cameos and the such but it will be an original piece of work. I'd probably give it a good look as well seeing as my school did Little Shop of Horrors for its latest school production, and seeing which way you could adapt and chance the story.

Also with newer characters and an original perspective you can even keep it running for longer than just what the film/play has to offer.

So fail for classic comic rendition, potential fly for spin-off story (depends on how you do it).

@Melvyn Lennard: How 'bout I do this with Cannibal! The Musical? It's an underrated film and a comic would spread word of it. I also happen to be a fan ALSO of Cannibal!.

Whatever works. Really I just feel that Little Shop of Horrors is way too popular to be told in comic form, and besides I've never even heard of Cannibal! so I like the idea.

It's made by the guys who created South Park, actually.
